Elafonissi Resort

The Elafonissi resort is not so much a resort but rather an accommodation complex near the Elafonissi beach. Right on the exit from the the tarmac road (the narrow dusty road goes about 300 m to the large car park near the Elafonissi beach), you will find a minimarket. In the resort, there are beautiful and peaceful suites (named Elafonisi Apartments, of course) in a huge garden with palm trees and a nice lawn. At the very entrance to the complex premises, there is a big taverna.

How to get to Elafonissi?

Elafonissi is located in the very south-west of Crete. There leads quite a nice coast road from Kissamos, or you can also get there crossing the mountains (the way is passable using an off-road vehicle only) from Paleochora. There is also a boat departing from Paleochora to Elafonissi, so you can make there a one-day trip (setting off at 10 a.m. and going back at 5 p.m.).
